Last June 19, our team met up with our Canadian Member Via Capitale du Mont-Royal for a day of conferences dedicated to real estate professionals. Full report below!
“It is critical for realtors to build their own network of foreign partners, and just as important to acknowledge multiculturalism in their exchanges”
For the first time, the Prestige MLS team has set foot in Canada. An unknown land of real estate was awaiting us. We were eager to discover Montreal, and see in person the beautiful listings sent to our website by our Member in Canada. And we can say we were not disappointed.
The day of conference, organized by our partner Immo Square, was very rich in debates and exchanges between realtors and real estate professionals. One main topic throughout the day: how to sell real estate to foreigners. That is to say our specialty!
Five conferences tackled the following questions: “Foreign realtors in new developments”, « Collaborating internationally”, “World-posting”, “Financing a purchase for non-residents” and “Attracting and converting foreign investors”.
Nathalie Clément, CEO of Via Capitale du Mont-Royal, co-hosted the event with Immo Square. With more than 1000 transactions per year in French Canada, the CEO noticed the increasing number of transactions made with foreigners.
Our own CEO, Jean-Laurent Lepeu, participated to one of the conferences on how to collaborate internationally. The hour-long conference went through the consequences of globalization for real estate professionals.
“It is critical for realtors to build their own network of foreign partners, and just as important to acknowledge multiculturalism in their exchanges”, Jean-Laurent Lepeu explained. “The real estate industry needs a standard for international collaboration, an effective way to moderate exchange. That is why Prestige MLS is relevant.”
Many thanks to our partner Immo Square, and our Member Via Capitale du Mont-Royal for the great debates, and for showing us a terrific time in Montreal. Our team will be back!
