Prestige MLS Business Trip to Brazil: Full Report !

The appointment was scheduled on May the 30th at the Rio Othon Hotel Palace in Copacabana – Rio de Janeiro, with two Prestige MLS Members: M. Grégory MARCHAND from CGI – Geneva – and Anna & Jean-François DESJACQUES from The Leading People of the World – Geneva and Moscow.

Brazil is among the key highly exclusive destinations of the World, that’s the reason Prestige MLS made their priority to open this Market to their Members. The demand for Prime Real Estate Properties in Brazil – and in all key destinations generally speaking – will rise dramatically due to Sport Events in the next 20 years: 2014 FiFa World Cup Brazil and 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The first meeting was organized in Rio de Janeiro in collaboration with Mister Frédéric Cockenpot from WhereInRioPrestige MLS Member – in one of their Penthouse for sale in Ipanema.

This Seminar was the occasion for Prestige MLS to organize significant meetings with experts in Luxury Real Estate, and affiliates related to the Real Estate field: the Advocate Simone KAMENETZ, the Architect Carolina KREBS, and Aarti WAGHELA, the Representative of the Owner of the Penthouse. Aarti WAGHELA explained the Sale Management and the Renting Process of this Luxury Real Estate Property, and highlighted the problems encountered when renovating it.

Thanks to this Seminar, a complete and panoramic vision of the Brazilian Luxury Real Estate Transaction Process was given to Prestige MLS Members. This first-day seminar ended up with the visit of an astonishing property in São Conrado: the Villa where WhereInRio’s Presentation Video for Prestige MLS 3rd Luxury Real Estate Congress was made. The Members enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the first Business Cocktail in the walls of another Luxurious Penthouse  in Ipanema listed at WhereInRio. In this context Prestige MLS introduced the concept of the Business Club to Luxury Real Estate Agents whose agencies are based in Rio de Janeiro.

The second-day started with the visit of the Lopes Agency, the #1 Real Estate Agency in Brazil and #3 Real Estate Agency in the world. It was the occasion for Prestige MLS and their Members to measure the current exponential growth of the Brazilian Luxury Real Estate Market.

After a convivial week-end off, full of amazing memories, Prestige MLS & their Members moved to Sao Paulo and discovered a modern city – called “The Tropical New York” – made of impressive skyscrapers and reflecting some incoherencies within the country. Striking “detail”: a highly sophisticated security system in every building and shopping mall.

The second Seminar took place at the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo. David STEFANSKIE from MURADE EMPREENDIMENTOS and Benjamin TAYAR from CENTURY 21 PREMIUM presented a detailed insight of the Luxury Real Estate Market of Sao Paulo and Brazil generally speaking. They revealed a gap between an “economic” and an “administrative” city and country, with an average 10 000€ price/sqm. A second Business Cocktail closed this Seminar where we encountered Francesca Picciafuochi who runs Esperienza Italiana, an amazing company organizing Luxury Event all over the world. On the occasion of this Cocktail, Prestige MLS Members also explained to Sao Paulo Real Estate Agents the reasons why they joined Prestige MLS Business Club and what their expectations are.

Prestige MLS warmly thank Frédéric Cockenpot for the wonderful welcome he gave us & all the attendees, the energy he put in the realization of this Business Trip, and his collaboration. We also thank Yvan Bernardin who helped us organize this Business Trip, Anna & JF DESJACQUES for the amazing photos and memories, Francesca PICCIAFUOCHI for her article, and last but not least, all Attendees for the sympathy, the effectiveness and the generosity they have shown!
